LOS ANGELES – FAMILY LAW AND PROBATE DIVISIONS ANNOUNCE CHANGES TO JUDICIAL ASSIGNMENTS

Effective as of the dates indicated below, the Los Angeles Superior Court Central Family Law Division at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse, 111 N. Hill St., Los Angeles 90012, implements changes to judicial assignments causing cases to be transferred to a new department number.

Effective Sept. 8, 2015, all matters assigned to and calendared in Dept. 2C are transferred to Dept. 59 and remain scheduled on the dates and times previously set, unless otherwise notified.

Dept. 59 – Family Law Pre-Trial & Post Judgment Calendar: Judge Michael E. Whitaker

Effective Sept. 14, 2015, all matters assigned to and calendared in Dept. 75 are transferred to Dept. 2C and remain scheduled on the dates and times previously set, unless otherwise notified.

Dept. 2C – Civil Harassment Restraining Orders: Judge Carol Boas Goodson

Family Centered Case Resolution Conferences & Judgment Debtor: Judge John Henning

Effective Sept. 21, 2015, the following changes in judicial assignments will be implemented:

Dept. 29 – Probate Calendar Courtroom: Judge Yolanda Orozco

Dept. 87 – Family Law Pre-Trial & Post Judgment Calendar: Judge Laura A. Seigle

Dept. 88 – Family Law Pre-Trial & Post Judgment Calendar: Judge Timothy Patrick Dillon

All matters currently on calendared in Departments 29, 87 and 88 shall remain scheduled on the dates and times previously set, unless otherwise notified.

Effective Oct. 1, 2015, the following changes in judicial assignments will be implemented:

Dept. 66 – Family Law Pre-Trial & Post Judgment Calendar: Judge Colin B. Leis

All matters currently on calendar in Department 2B will be transferred to Department 66 and shall remain scheduled on the dates and times previously set, unless otherwise notified.

Dept. 2B – Restraining Order Hearings: Commissioner Armando Duron

Matters calendared in this department will be restraining orders (DVRO, Elder Abuse, Workplace Violence & GVRO) after the initial ex parte hearing has been ruled upon where there is no underlying family law or probate case.

Counsel and parties are instructed to identify the assigned judicial officer and department on the first page of all documents filed with the clerk, beneath the case number, to ensure proper departmental assignment, calendaring of hearings, and distribution of documents.
