Classes and Seminars

Thank you for your interest in Legal Professionals, Inc.’s (LPI) training courses.

Our CCLS Study Course is a multi-week, online, interactive study group designed to assist those considering taking or who have registered to take the California Certified Legal Secretary (CCLS) examination.  Each study group module covers specific topics and material relevant to the exam. This study course is offered twice a year in advance of the CCLS exam.  Live CCLS seminars are also offered at each LPI Quarterly Conference.

Continuing Legal Education covers the gamut when it comes to procedural and training topics. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned professional, these live seminars and webinars offer something for everyone.  Subjects include civil litigation, probate and estate planning, criminal law, family law, federal law, law office administration, calendaring, ethics, and more.  All Continuing Legal Education live webinars and seminars are FREE for LPI members.

Legal Technology Training classes meet California’s requirement for attorneys and law office staff to be technically competent.  Classes include training in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), Adobe Acrobat, Best Authority, Electronically Stored Information (ESI), tips and tricks, and more.

LPI University offers multi-week training courses such as Trial Preparation, Advanced Discovery, Beginning Legal Secretarial Training, Intermediate Legal Professional Training, etc.  We categorize our multi-week study courses under the name “LPI University,” as each course uses a textbook, requires the submission of homework, taking quizzes, and completing a final examination.  Some courses are administered in real-time, via Zoom; others are offered in an online, study-at-your-own-pace platform. Students who successfully pass the course are provided with a certificate of completion. Courses are offered at the beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels.  The courses are challenging and fast-paced. It is recommended that you try to devote at least 4-5 hours each week outside of class for studying, reading, and completion of assignments/quizzes.  Our goal is to make sure that at the end of the course, you have an expanded understanding of court practices, legal procedures, and have built upon the skills and training you already possess.

LPI is a California State Bar-approved MCLE provider, and the majority of Its seminars and webinars qualify for both MCLE and CCLS credit.
