Effective October 5, 2015, post-arraignment proceedings for felony cases filed at the Metropolitan Courthouse will be heard at the Norwalk Courthouse.
Cases filed on behalf of the following agencies will be impacted:
1 California Highway Patrol, South Los Angeles Station
2 Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Century Station (Florence/Firestone area)
3 Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, East Los Angeles Station (for the cities of Cudahy and Maywood)
4 Los Angeles School Police Department
5 Vernon Police Department
Felony criminal matters for the above-listed agencies will continue to be filed by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office at the Metropolitan Courthouse, located at 1945 S. Hill St., Los Angeles 90007. That courthouse will hear the initial arraignments on the cases. All further proceedings will be transferred to Dept. J of the Norwalk Courthouse, located at 12720 Norwalk Blvd, Norwalk 90650
