DID YOU KNOW?

Effective January 1, 2017, the maximum allowable fees that a California notary public can charge went up. A notary can now charge $15 (up from $10), per signature, for an acknowledgment or jurat. (Govt. Code secs. 8211 and 8233.) See the California Secretary of State website for a full list of maximum allowable fees.
