Riverside County to Launch CARE Act Mental Health Program

The Community Assistance, Recovery, and Empowerment (CARE) Act is set to begin in Riverside County on Oct. 2.

The CARE Act is a new state law meant to address and treat those with severe mental health disorders by allowing the court to order the county to provide behavioral health treatment in community-based settings.

Governor Newsom signed SB 1338 enacting the Community Assistance, Recovery & Empowerment Act (CARE Act), which creates a new pathway to deliver mental health and substance use disorder services to the most severely impaired Californians who often suffer homelessness or incarceration without treatment.

Riverside Superior Court Debuts New Website Design

Starting on October 23, 2023, the Riverside Superior Court is set to unveil its new public website, a collaborative effort with the Judicial Council of California. We are excited to announce that this revamped website will greatly enhance user experience and streamline access to essential court services.

This redesign perfectly aligns with the broader objectives of the Judicial Branch, which revolve around ensuring equitable access to the courts, their proceedings, and related programs.
