Santa Clara Superior: Face Masks Remain Mandatory Inside All Santa Clara County Courthouses

The Santa Clara County Superior Court reminds the public, justice partners, judicial officers, and employees that face masks must be worn inside all Santa Clara County courthouses when the new County Health Order takes effect tomorrow, March 2, 2022.

“We want to remind everyone that until the General Order of the Court Regarding Face Coverings and Social Distancing is modified or rescinded, a proper face-covering must be worn in all public areas of the Court and any shared workspaces, “said Presiding Judge Theodore C. Zayner.“ Like many of us in Santa Clara County, our Court is encouraged by the data from our public health officials showing declining case rates and hospitalizations county-wide. However, it remains imperative that our Court continues to be vigilant in our efforts to protect the health and safety of all who enter our courthouses. Therefore, at this time, face masks remain mandatory for everyone while inside of our facilities.”
