• Webinar – Family Law 101 – 3/9/2026

While family law is governed by its own code (the California Family Code), it technically falls into the category of civil litigation. Also, most of the general provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure and the California Rules of Court apply to family law proceedings. However, family law does have its own special set of court rules, California Rules of Court, rules 5.2 through 5.488. In this one-hour session, we will cover the basics of family law, the similarities and differences between family law and civil practice, and what the legal professional can expect when working in a family law practice setting. Calendaring and legal terminology will also be covered.
