Celebrating a Veteran

Contra Costa, CA – The Contra Costa County’s Board of Supervisors will honor Veteran’s & their families at the Annual Veterans Day Celebration on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Board Chambers at 1025 Escobar Street, Martinez. This year, the ceremony will feature a special recognition for the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War. Watch online at www.contracostatv.org. The celebration will broadcast live on Contra Costa Television channels: Comcast Channel 27, AT&T U-Verse Channel 99, and Astound Channels 32 and 1027.

Costa Mesa, CA – Veterans Day Commemoration at Heroes Hall will ceremony and unveiling of a new plaque honoring the fallen heroes and veterans who served post-9/11. The even will include a performance by All-American Boys Chorus, veteran service organization booths, kids’ activities and food. Saturday, Nov. 11, 2002, 2 to 4 p.m. at OC Fair & Event Center – Heroes Hall. The admissions in free including parking. Long Beach, CA – The City of Long Beach proudly presents the 2023 Veterans Day Celebration to honor those who have served and are currently serving in the United States military. The free, family-friendly festival will take place on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Houghton Park (6301 Myrtle Avenue).

San Diego, CA – the perfect way to celebrate Veteran’s Day is by viewing the Veterans Day Boat Parade from the shore of Shelter Island, Harbor Island, San Diego Embarcadero, Seaport Village and Coronado Tidelands Park. The public is invited to San Diego to watch the procession of military-themed decorated boats on Sunday, November 12, 2023, starting at 9:30 am. West Sacramento, CA – The Veterans Day Parade will start at 11 am on Saturday, November 11, 2023 beginning at 1100 Clarendon Street to West Acre Road and ending at Park & Stone Blvd.
