ALAMEDA – IMPLEMENTING NEW ELECTRONIC FILING FEES FOR NON-EXEMPT FILIERS IN CRIMINAL AND JUVENILE CASES BEGINNING MONDAY, JULY 1, 2019

Pursuant to a new contract with its vendor, Tyler Technologies, Inc., the Superior Court of Alameda County announced today that effective July 1, 2019, it will implement electronic filing fees in Criminal and Juvenile cases for non-exempt filers. These fees will not be assessed to entities who are exempt from paying filing fees under California law, such as state or county agencies.

Under the new fee schedule, the filing fee will be a flat $5.00 per filing. The filing fee is assessed to cover the operational costs of the electronic filing system. Additional payment processing fees will apply, and those fees will depend on how users chooses to pay.
