Local Bankruptcy Rules Amendments Effective January 31, 2022

The Board of Judges for the United States Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California, approved the following amendments to the Court’s Local Bankruptcy Rules (LBRs) that become effective January 31, 2022.

Notice of Amended Policy Regarding COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing

To align with District Court operations as announced in District Court’s Notice from the Clerk: Notice of Amended Policy Regarding COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)(link is external), the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California announces that it has amended its “Policy Regarding COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing” that went into effect on October 1, 2021. The CDC recommends that everyone 18 years and older should receive their primary series of COVID-19 vaccines and recommended booster dose(s) when eligible. Accordingly, the Court’s policy regarding COVID-19 vaccination and testing has been amended to require that all employees, volunteers, and onsite judiciary contractors receive their primary series of COVID-19 vaccines and stay Up to Date with their COVID-19 vaccines by receiving any booster dose(s) when eligible per CDC recommendations(link is external)

Northern District:

Northern Division Reopened on Tuesday, January 18, 2022

The Northern Division, which was closed to the public on January 13, 2022, as described in Public Notice 22-003, was reopened to the public on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. Documents may now be filed at the Intake Section of the Northern Division during normal business hours.
