Introducing the Updated LPI Blog “The Podium”

By Larry McGrew, LPI Legal Procedure Chair

When I was asked to take on this position, I was provided with a request from our LPI President Lynne Prescott, CCLS.  That request was to elevate the blog which goes along with her theme for the fiscal year.  I was happy to rejoin the LPI team and I was up for the challenge.

I admit, I did not know very much about blogging.  I found and purchased a book written by Joseph Robinson, “How to Blog – 3 Books in 1.”  The book would be my guide to create a plan which ultimately made me understand that our blog could potentially be a very important marketing tool to help build our brand to the legal community.  Once I learned how that could work, I put together a Marketing Plan and the process became very clear.

With the help and guidance of the LPI Webmaster, I am happy to introduce our updated LPI Blog, which we have changed the name to “The Podium.”  We will be posting more content, more information about changes in the legal industry, general information of interest as well as the ongoing changes within the California Courts.  We will also tap into the talents and expertise of our membership to provide helpful tips and guidelines to be successful as a legal professional in California.

I hope that you enjoy the interactive new look.  If you have any suggestions or can contribute by writing a post about your expertise, or if you have an attorney, an administrator, or someone within the legal community that would be willing to share their wisdom, please reach out as we welcome information that can help elevate the legal profession.
