A new report examining initial data from the first three weeks of the Court’s new bail schedules, which include within them Pre-Arraignment Release Protocols (PARPs) for offenses designated by the law as non-violent, non-serious felonies and misdemeanors, reveals significant public safety benefits of the new policy compared with the previous traditional money bail system, Presiding Judge Samantha P.
