Stanislaus County Superior Court shared an article from The Turlock Journal stating that civil disputes can now be settled by retired judges under a new state program. The Temporary Assigned Judges Civil Mediation Program offers free mediation services to help parties settle disputes without court adjudication. Retired judges, trained as mediators, facilitate the cases. The program was enacted by the Judicial Council of California and mostly involves personal injury cases. Details can be found in this notice.
