This is to advise members of the Bar regarding recent changes in San Luis Obispo Superior Court operations. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the following changes in assignments will take effect on the dates indicated.
• Judge Craig Van Rooyen will begin working for the court on August 1, 2016 in Dept. 7 and will initially hear misdemeanor conferences and trials.
• Judge Gayle Peron will assume a combined misdemeanor/felony assignment beginning July 25 in Dept. 4 and in Dept. 8 as of September 7, 2016.
Attached for your information is the planned criminal team assignments schedule which will begin on July 25 and August 1, 2016.
• Judge Ginger Garrett will transition to a family law assignment in San Luis Obispo on September 7, 2016 in Dept. 4.
• Lastly, the Paso Robles civil calendar will be serviced by various assigned judges beginning on September 7, 2016. Attached is a tentative schedule of assigned judges who will hear the civil calendar in Paso Robles.
