Placer Superior Court: Announces Changes to Remote Appearances in Family Law Proceedings

The Placer Superior Court announces the implementation of Standing Order 22-06, effective October 28, 2022, modifying remote appearance procedures for the Family Law Division regarding Emergency Request and Order Shortening Time hearings. Standing Order 22-06 amends the remote appearance processes for these hearing types to allow parties to self-schedule remote appearances without submitting prior written notice to the court. Scheduling remote appearances online will be considered notice to the court. This standing order shall remain in effect until January 1, 2023, unless rescinded at an earlier date by the Presiding Judge.
