PLACER – ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT NEW COMMISSIONER

The Placer Superior Court is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Glenn M. Holley of Sacramento, California as Court Commissioner, effective May 1, 2019. Mr. Holley fills the vacancy created by the elevation of Todd Irby to Judge of the Superior Court in the summer of 2018.

Mr. Holley will be leaving the law firm of Schuering Zimmerman & Doyle, LLP, where he has served as Partner since 2006. “Mr. Holley brings an extensive background in civil law and practice to his service as a judicial officer for our court. His experience as a certified mediator and his extensive involvement in dispute resolution will well serve those appearing in his courtroom in the years ahead,” said Presiding Judge Alan Pineschi.

Mr. Holley was previously a Partner with the law firms of Tweedy and Holley and Bolling Walter & Gawthrop.

Over his legal career, Mr. Holley has participated in furthering the rule of law through participation in legal-related associations and organizations. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada and also served as the California State Representative for the Defense Research Institute. Mr. Holley was recognized by Sacramento Magazine as one of the region’s “Top Lawyers” in 2015.

Mr. Holley was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1985. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the California State University, Chico and his Juris Doctorate from Western State University College of Law.
