Speaker: Brooke Mansfield, Modoc County Victim Services Coordinator

Brooke will review how Marsy's Law came to be, how Victim Services advocates for victims in the process and the role of a Victim Advocate.

Brooke is the Victim Services Coordinator for Modoc County. She is a department of one, serving as her county's only Victim Services Advocate. In addition to her duties as Advocate, she serves as the Mass Victim Advocate, serves on the Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Response Team. Her department is also the Child Advocacy Center, advocating for children of sexual assault. When not in court with victims, she assists with Civil Harassment Restraining Orders and Domestic Violence Restraining Orders.

Brooke is LPI's current Liaison to the Law Practice Management and Technology Section of the California State Bar. Brooke is a Past President of LPI - prior to joining the LPI (then LSI Executive Committee) she was appointed by then LSI President Kay Thornburg to serve as Legal Secretary Training / Seminar Chair.
