LOS ANGELES – THE FAMILY LAW DIVISION ANNOUNCES CASE ASSIGNMENT CHANGES

Effective February 2, 2015, the following changes will take effect:

At the Stanley Mosk Courthouse, located at 111 N. Hill St., Los Angeles, 90012:

Unless otherwise notified, all cases currently assigned to Judge Thomas Trent Lewis in Department 79 will be transferred to Department 27 and assigned to Judge Kathleen 0. Diesman. Matters previously set for hearing in Department 79 shall remain scheduled in the newly assigned department on the dates and times set, unless otherwise notified.

All cases currently assigned to Judge Michael J. Convey in Department 27 will be transferred to Department 2C and assigned to Judge Michael E. Whitaker. Matters previously set for hearing in Department 27 shall remain scheduled in the newly assigned department on the dates and times set, unless otherwise notified. At the Central Civil West Courthouse, located at 600 S. Commonwealth Ave., Los Angeles, 90005:

Judge Thomas Trent Lewis will be reassigned from Department 79 to Department 309, a long cause trial courtroom. Any case currently assigned to Judge Trent Lewis that will be heard in Department 309 will be notified.

Counsel and parties are instructed to identify the assigned judicial officer and department on the first page of all documents filed with the clerk, beneath the case number, to ensure proper departmental assignment, calendaring of hearings, and distribution of documents.
