Save the Date: Superior Court of Los Angeles County’s Facility Strategic Plan Overview Virtual Presentation Thursday, October 13

Join Presiding Judge Eric C. Taylor and host Los Angeles County Bar Association President Ann I. Park, along with Presiding Judge-Elect Samantha P. Jessner, Judicial Council of California (JCC) Court Facilities Advisory Committee Member Judge William F. Highberger, Executive Officer/Clerk of Court Sherri R. Carter and members of the JCC’s Property and Facilities Development Team for a virtual presentation of the Superior Court of Los Angeles County’s Facility Strategic Plan Overview.

This important virtual presentation will offer a summary of the numerous issues and concerns related to the Stanley Mosk Courthouse and the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center and provide insight into the various construction projects and steps needed to address our Court’s long-term facility needs. As Bar leaders, court users and justice partners, it is important that each of us be engaged in discussions as the Court works with the JCC and our legal community to develop possible recommendations and a masterplan that best serves all Angelenos.

Appellate Division 2023 Hearing Dates Set

The Appellate Division 2023 hearings will generally be set at 9 a.m. for infraction and misdemeanor cases and generally be set at 1:30 p.m. for limited civil cases in the Appellate Division Courtroom, Room 615, Stanley Mosk Courthouse, 111 N. Hill St., Los Angeles, CA.

Pomona And West Covina Courthouses Announce Courtroom Changes

The Pomona Courthouse South and the West Covina Courthouse will implement the following changes to courtroom operations, effective October 20:

  • Judge Gregory J. Weingart will be reassigned from Department B, a family law courtroom at the Pomona Courthouse South, 400 Civic Center Plaza, Pomona, to Department 2, an unlawful detainer courtroom, at the West Covina Courthouse, 1427 W. Covina Pkwy, West Covina.
  • Judge Dean J. Kitchens will be assigned to Department B, a family law courtroom, at the Pomona Courthouse South.
