This webinar offers a practical guide to navigating and researching the California Code of Civil Procedure. Learn how the Code is organized, where to find key provisions, and how to apply them in everyday legal work. Ideal for legal support professionals looking to improve their research skills and understanding of California civil procedure.

Bethany S. Ensz, M.S., is a Legal Research and Analysis instructor at UCSD Division of Extended Studies. She previously worked as a corporate paralegal and office manager at Breakwater Law Group, LLP, and held positions at Sheppard Mullin and McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP (now Dentons). Bethany holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from Indiana University and an M.S. in Legal Studies from the University of San Diego School of Law. She earned her paralegal certificate from UC San Diego Division of Extended Studies, where she was inducted into the LEX Honor Society. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

Mike Lewis is currently the Operations Manager for Northern California at the Chicago based law firm of O’Hagan Meyer PLLC. He has worked in the legal field for 26 years as a litigation secretary, secretarial supervisor, and office manager. In his supervisory capacities, Mike has conducted numerous in-house training sessions and enjoys imparting his enthusiasm and knowledge of litigation to other legal staffers.
