The Advanced Legal Professionals Training Series (Civil Module) is offered as a four-week series via Zoom, in a real-time setting. This multi-week training series is the next step for those who have completed LPI’s Intermediate Legal Professionals Training Series, as well as for the seasoned legal professional looking to take their training and career to the next level.
While in-depth reference guides have been developed for this course, The Legal Professionals Handbook is strongly encouraged for concurrent use in this series.
The classes for each module are interactive and conducted live, in real-time, via Zoom. The Slack communication platform will also be used extensively for each module. Students will have in-class activities, as well as assignments outside of class. Weekly lab assignments, quizzes, and a final exam are part of this module. Webcam capability will be needed for this series.
Students are permitted one excused absence during this series. The student must pass the module with an overall score of 70%. Quizzes and lab assignments will count for 75% of the student’s grade, and the final exam will count for 25%. At the end of the module, students who successfully pass will receive a credential badge. Classes will be recorded for students’ additional review and study.
- Week 1: Advanced Motion Practice
- Week 2: Mediation/Arbitration and Trial
- Week 3: Judgment and Post-Judgment Procedures
