Wine is more than a beverage — it’s a highly regulated industry shaped by a unique blend of state and federal laws. This engaging webinar will provide an introduction to the fundamentals of wine law and regulation, including labeling, licensing, distribution, and compliance. Attendees will also gain insights into recent developments impacting stakeholders within the wine industry, including brand owners, investors, and winery operators — from evolving direct-to-consumer shipping rules to new labeling standards. Whether you work with wineries, distributors, or in the hospitality industry more generally, or are simply curious about the legal landscape of wine, this session will give you the tools to navigate the complexities of this ever-evolving industry.

He represents clients before the federal Alcohol & Tobacco Tax & Trade Bureau, the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control and State Board of Equalization, and other state alcohol beverage agencies throughout the United States.

Jason H. Barker is a Portland business attorney whose multidisciplinary practice involves complex corporate transactions and alcohol beverage regulatory matters.
