ALAMEDA – COPY COSTS FOR CRIMINAL RECORDS

COPY COSTS FOR CRIMINAL RECORDS

Pursuant to Government Code Sections 70627 and 70633(b), effective August 1, 2014, all government entities will be charged for copies of criminal records.

The cost for copies of criminal records, specified in Government Code Section 70627, will be:

– $0.50 per page for copies;

– $1.00 per page for certifying to copy.

These new charges to government entities do not affect the cost of copies of criminal records requested by the general public. The charges to the general public for copies of criminal records, pursuant to Government Code Section 70627, remain unchanged and are as follows:

– $0.50 per page copying fee;

– $1.00 per page certifying to copy fee;

– $25.00 certification of a record fee;

In addition, Government Code Section 70627 authorizes a $15.00 fee for a search of records that requires more than 10 minutes of staff time.
