A Poem for Spring

By Jessica Melton

It is April already,

How the heck can that be?

I swear time’s going quicker,

Then I can possibly see.

Now it’s allergy season,

Pollen’s here in full bloom.

Better go grab a Kleenex,

Because my meeting’s on Zoom.

They can see my nose running,

My eyes look like a mess.

But at least I look awesome,

In my brand new sundress.

It’s almost bathing suit season,

And it’s not even May.

If Covid weight is still on me,

Calgon take me away.

But for now, it is springtime,

Full of promise and light.

And if you look all around us,

Man, what a glorious sight!
