SAN DIEGO – SOUTH COUNTY COURTHOUSE CRIMINAL/TRAFFIC BUSINESS HOURS CHANGE

Starting Monday, November 19, 2018 the South County Division of the San Diego Superior Court will delay opening its Criminal/Traffic business counters by 30 minutes. The Court will handle Criminal/Traffic business matters starting at 8:00AM Monday through Friday as opposed to the current 7:30AM operation start. The Court facility will continue to open its doors at 7:30AM to allow time for the public to pass through security and assemble for services, but the second floor business counters will begin operations at 8:00AM.

The time change is necessary to both move the South County courthouse in line with other court divisions’ criminal/traffic services which begin operations at 8:00AM to 8:30AM and to meet staffing changes. “All of our court facilities open at 7:30AM throughout the County and now we are trying to also align the start time for our court services which, in most cases, is currently 8:00AM. We understand this is a change for South County customers and we want to get word out as soon as possible so people can adjust to this change. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” says Michael Roddy, Executive Officer of the San Diego Superior Court.
