SAN BERNARDINO – BIG BEAR AND NEEDLES COURTHOUSES EXPAND SERVICES STARTING DECEMBER 2019

The Superior Court of San Bernardino County is pleased to announce that it will be expanding services provided to the Big Bear and Needles communities beginning in December 2019.

Through the continued efforts of the court and its staff, the Big Bear Courthouse will open the second and fourth Thursday of each month starting on Thursday, December 12 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and continue its normal schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Friday of each month.

The Needles Courthouse will open on the first Thursday of the month beginning on Thursday, December 5 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and continue its normal schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the first Friday of each month.

The Big Bear and Needles Courthouses provide limited services including non-cash payments, traffic school sign-ups, payment extensions, scheduling a court date and remote video proceedings for misdemeanor modifications and traffic/non-traffic infractions.

Aligned with the court’s 2018-2023 Strategic Plan, expanding services at remote locations such as in Big Bear and Needles increases access to justice, while leveraging cost-effective technology solutions. Funding for the Big Bear Courthouse expansion has been made possible by an Innovation Grant awarded by the Judicial Council of California.

The Superior Court of San Bernardino County continues its efforts to restore services that were once reduced or eliminated due to budget cuts over the last several years.
