RIVERSIDE – CALENDAR AND JURISDICTIONAL CHANGES

Please note the current and upcoming calendar and jurisdictional changes:

Effective Immediately:

Probate

All probate cases with a Corona zip code will be filed and heard in the Historic Courthouse. All existing Corona cases will remain calendared in the Temecula Court. Cases not resolved at hearing will be transferred and continued to the Historic Courthouse. Mid County probate long cause trials will be set at the Temecula Court instead of the Hemet Court.

Effective November 3, 2014:

Unlimited Civil

Only cases with zip codes from the cities of Murrieta, Menifee, Wildomar and Winchester will be filed and heard at the Southwest Justice Center. All cases currently assigned to the Southwest Justice Center will remain calendared there. All other zip codes (with the exception of those filed and heard at the Blythe and Palm Springs Courts, which remain unchanged) will be filed and heard in the Historic Courthouse.

Limited Civil

Limited civil cases will be filed and heard in the Historic Courthouse, Palm Springs Court and Blythe Court only. Those limited civil cases previously filed and heard in the Southwest Justice Center, Hemet Court and Banning Court will now be filed and heard in the Historic Courthouse.

Civil Harassments and Name Change Petitions

All civil harassments and name change petitions previously heard in the Banning Court will now be heard in the Hemet Court. All other boundaries for civil harassments and name change petitions will remain unchanged.

Unlawful Detainers

Unlawful Detainers currently filed and heard in the Temecula Court will now be filed and heard in the Southwest Justice Center. All other boundaries for unlawful detainers remain unchanged.

Effective with infraction citations issued on or after December 1, 2014

Infractions (traffic and non-traffic)

Infraction cases emanating from the Cities of Perris, Menifee and Canyon Lake will be heard in the Moreno Valley Court instead of the Southwest Justice Center. Cases emanating from the City of Temecula will be heard in the Hemet Court instead of the Southwest Justice Center. Court trials for Temecula will remain in the Southwest Justice Center.
