NAPA – $25 ISSUANCE FEE FOR CERTIFIATE OF EXONERATION PURSUANT TO GC 70626(a)

Effective March 13, 2017, Napa County Superior Court will require a $25.00 issuance fee for any Certificate of Discharge or Exoneration as provided by Government Code Section 70626(a).
Bond agents, surety companies and depositors of property bonds may submit requests for exoneration, the $25.00 issuance fee, and a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the Napa Superior Court, 1111 Third Street, Napa, California 94559.

The court will no longer issue exoneration slips or provide mailings for exoneration or discharge of bonds without full payment and self-addressed stamped envelopes.

The court will no longer provide this information over the phone.

A monthly report listing all bonds exonerated can be emailed upon request to Jodi.Leveque@napa.courts.ca.gov.

There are public terminals available at the Courthouse for the public to check the status of a bail bond and print copies of minute orders that note exoneration of the bond. These copies are available for 50 cents per page.

Thank you.
